Advanced Application Software, or just Advanced Apps for short, is taught by Ms. Collins. The course is designed to teach students any number of computer applications. Which applications are taught depends on student interest; in the past, subject areas have included: HTML, web page design, Photoshop, Avid Video, Javascript, 3D rendering software, animation software, and Pagemaker. Course topics are flexible, and students may suggest other software or environments that they would like to explore.

Emphasis in the class is placed on creating an individual portfolio web page to display their classwork.

The course requires students to have taken Algorithms and Data Structures or, if a non-Magnet student, Advanced C++.
